Leaving the Manhattan skyline, and the calm waters of Hell Gate at slack current behide us, we traveled up the Harlem River to the Hudson.

We anchored at Hastings-on-Hudson and took the dinghy ashore to have lunch with Lisa's cousin.

Heading up the Hudson around Jone's Point, we saw a long CSX freight train on the west bank.
Beautiful views of Bear Mountain State Park and the Bear Mountain Bridge were next.

Continuing north we passed The U.S. Military Academy, West Point.

Storm King Mountain on the west bank.

Breakneck Ridge on the east bank.

Bannerman Castle, just below Newburgh.

Passing by Poughkeepsie, there is the Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge, which is incredibly high for a foot bridge.

Then finally the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse, and the Roundout Lighthouse.
